Hi, I am Zafar RAFII, PhD student in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science at Northwestern University, Chicago/Evanston, IL USA.
My current research interest is centered around audio analysis, including signal processing, machine learning and cognitive science.
I work with my advisor Bryan Pardo at the Interactive Audio Lab.

I received a Master of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science & Telecommunications from Ecole Nationale Superieure d'Electronique et de ses Applications (ENSEA) in France and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) in Chicago.
In France, I worked as a research engineer on audio analysis, and especially sound separation, at Mist Technologies.
