Introduction

I am a Ph.D. student at Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Northwestern University. I work in the Interative Audio Lab. My advisor is Prof. Bryan Pardo.
I obtained my master's degree in Department of Automation, Tsinghua University in 2008. I worked in the Pattern Recognition and Machine Learning Lab (Bigeye Lab) from 2004 to 2008. My advisor was Prof. Changshui Zhang.
I was a visiting researcher in Center for Computer Research in Music and Acoustics (CCRMA) at Stanford University. My research advisor was Prof. Julius O. Smith III.
I obtained my bachelor's degree in Department of Automation, Tsinghua University in 2004, where I spent a colorful undergraduate life.

Research Interests

My research interests lie primarily in the interdisciplinary area of signal processing and machine learing towarding the audio information retrieval applications. I have been working on several projects such as multi-pitch estimation and tracking, sound source separation, audio-score alignment, music annotation and recommendation, audio tonality classification, etc. Please see my research for detailed information.
