URGIS: The Unified Relational Grid Information Services Project

The Unified Relational Grid Information Services Project is an NSF-funded collaborative research effort involving Northwestern University and Indiana University that seeks to apply the relational data model to static and dynamic grid information. The motivation and goals of this project are best described by this paper. Other work in this area can be found in the Relational Grid Information Services Research Group (RGIS RG) of the Global Grid Forum

The companion RGR project at Indiana is also available.
