Herodotus

Record FlexBot games in a standard file format for post-game processing by custom utilities.

What is Herodotus?

Named for the fifth-century BC Greek historian, Herodotus is a FlexMonitor module that records FlexBot games in HerodotusML format. The standard file format will allow any custom utility to process or view a recorded version of the game using the same file.

What is the current version of Herodotus?

The latest iteration of the HerodotusML file format and the accompanying Herodotus FlexMonitor module are both classified as version 0.1 at this time. Look for a download and file format specification here soon.

Planned Features

  • Valid XML file format and formalized specification for HerodotusML files.

Previous Versions

None yet.

Notes

  • The current version of the file format is not valid XML. This issue will be addressed in the next iteration of the specification.
