Kris Hammond Appointed to Mayor Daley's Council of Technology Advisors

June 26, 2003

Kris Hammond has been appointed by Mayor Richard Daley to the Mayor's Council of Technology Advisors, for a term lasting through March 31, 2006. This task force was created in 1999 to position Chicago as a leader in technology development among large metropolitan areas; and is committed to policies and programs that will promote innovation and economic growth, and bring the benefits of advancing technology to all Chicagoans. It is truly an honor, and an amazing opportunity for Kris to have been appointed. It will allow him to serve on this very important task force and advisory body to the Mayor, in a role that will be able to influence the technology environment in the Chicago metropolitan area; as well as provide increased visibility both for the Computer Science Department, and the McCormick School of Engineering.
